Brew the Best Beer you ever drank!

Marron el Alce

Originally intended to be a Negra Modelo clone, this beer turned out darker than expected, but very good.  It placed third as a Dark International Lager in the 2017 St. Louis regional of the National Homebrew Competition.  This recipe is for a 5.5 gallon batch.

Mash at 152 F. Ferment using your preferred lager yeast fermentation method. I use the “fast lager” method made popular by Mike “Tasty” McDole.
